December update

The next book is slow going, but only because I want to be as accurate as possible. This time around I've brought back characters from all of my previous books! You'll get to see what's going on with Jessica & Michael from Recycled Souls, Greg Travers and Tamara Youngblood from Merchants as well as most of the characters from Wicked Games.

In this story Chase Storm hires Bewitching Designs, an interior design company, to design the insides of the Victorian models in Sunset Ridge, the new housing tract that he and his dad, Preston, have been working on.

Bewitching Designs is owned by Blake O'Shea and Grace Ryan. If you've read Wicked Games you may remember Blake is Rick's (Ricochet) brother.

I felt that Ricks character needed to be explored a bit more. It never came out in Wicked Games what a huge fan of F. Scott Fitzgerald he was and that he has a deep, sensitive side to him.

Grace Ryan is Wiccan and her specialty is Rune casting but she can also read auras. When she meets Rick, of course she's intrigued, until she finds that he's 7 years younger. She doesn't need another heartache.

And so the chase begins!

Have Ya Noticed?

If you've read all three of my books you may have noticed a few things, other than the fact that I enjoy writing about ghosts and angels.

To date, my last two books, Merchants with Evil Intent & Wicked Games, have pulled characters from the first book, Recycled Souls. Dr. Michael James makes an appearance in Merchants and in Wicked, Emily Waters is the daughter of Sam & Martha Waters, owner of 'Play It Again Sam', the antique store where Jessica purchases Michael's guitar.

Just a little tidbit that I thought I'd share...

Wicked Games is currently available and I have to say it was fun to write!

Music was an integral part of the book as the main character, Emily Waters, would, when prodded, sing with Double Exposure, her cousin Freddie's band. I've been asked by several readers what my song list consisted of when I wrote. So, here it is, in no particular order, but if you've read the book you'll figure it out.

Black Magic Woman-Santana
Wicked Game-Chris Isaak
I've Got the Music in Me-Kiki Dee
Chain of Fools-Aretha Franklin
Stormy Weather-Etta James
Gimme Shelter-The Rolling Stones
Bring Me Some Water-Melissa Etheridge
One & Only-Adele
Rescue Me-Fontella Bass
The Way You Look Tonight-Frank Sinatra
Jealous Guy-John Lennon
Flapper Girl-The Lumineers
Ho Hey-The Lumineers
Hard Sun-Eddie Vedder
Love Interruption & I'm Shakin'-Jack White
Love Ain't Nothing But the Blues-California Ramblers
Hold Me in Your Arms, Keep Your Hands Off Her & Girl Is On My Mind-The Black Keys
The Sweetest Thing-JJ Grey & Mofro
Out of My League-Fitz & the Tantrums
Lover, You Should've Come Over-Jeff Buckley
Three Little Birds-Bob Marley
All I Want is You & Only Thing Missing was You-Michael Franti & Spearhead
Madness-Muse
A Lifetime-Ziggy Marley

Another book finished!

Just finished my third book, Wicked Games. It's another paranormal romance that has an angel as well as a few quirky ghosts. It's kind of fun because in each book I've written I've incorporated characters from my first book, Recycled Souls. Then, I've included information about characters from Merchants with Evil Intent into Wicked. Going forward with my next book that I've already started, I will include characters from Wicked.

I just have to say, being an Indie writer isn't easy. Marketing is difficult, but I truly appreciate each and every review that is left for my stories! I have to share the latest review of Merchants:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I received this book from Paranormal Romance & Authors That Rock, thank you ladies!
I must say with me not picking out a book but handed one to read I am glad this one came to me!!
Camryn O'Mara is a strong willed, sassy young lady. Coming from a family of cops decided to take the path of being a reporter. Camryn starts out dating a cop named Viktor (Russian) of whom her family is not fond of. Uncle John especially. Trust me when I say they had just reasons.
Camryn is tracking a story about young women that go missing in the Chicago area, with no leads or links to why they are going missing.
Camryn witnessed on girl being taken but doesn't realize it until later on in the book.
.......
Declan Corrigan..ooo what a dreamy Irish hunk! lives in Ireland runs a B&B has a tragedy in his life and decides after a couple years to take a trip to you guessed it Chicago to visit his sister. While visiting Chicago, Declan and his sister attend an Irish concert where he sees Camryn and falls instantly in love..
.......
with a twist of events, Camryn and Declan must find each other, with the help of those willing and not so willing all does not end well for everyone in the book.. With the help of an annoying ghost and lovely guardian angel you are lead on love story between two stubborn ass people. you will not be disappointed in this book.. heck you will find yourself speaking with an Irish accent..
****my heart swelled with pride after reading this review! If you haven't read Merchants yet, why not? ;)
What's going on today?!
Another gloomy day in Chi-town! It's the kind of day where I'd love to curl up on the couch and watch an old black and white movie. Not gonna happen though. Working a full-time job doesn't leave me with a whole lot of time for frivolities. There's always clothes to wash and house work to tend to. Bleh!
Besides, I'll have plenty of time for lounging later when the Blackhawks are on! Speaking of which, I'm not finished with Wicked Games (tentative title) and I'm already thinking about my next manuscript! I'm thinking it'll be a hockey romance, because, hey! Who doesn't love hockey and romance? It'll be a departure from what I've been writing slightly...paranormal romance, unless I can come up with an intriguing twist.
I'm so bad at this!
I find it hard to keep up with the social networking, writing and blogging! Holy crap! How do people do it? Never mind having a full-time job to boot! And housework? Yard work? Don't get me started!
O.K. Enough of my mini rant! I've been asked by many people about my song list for Merchants. Here goes (in no particular order):
Van Morrison-Tupelo Honey (Camryn & Declan's first dance)
                      -Someone Like You
                      -pretty much the entire Van the Man collection
Hunter Hayes-Wanted
Nickelback-Trying Not To Love You
Vitamin String Quartet-All I Want Is You
Avenged Sevenfold-So Far Away
Foo Fighters-Walk
Fratellis-Chelsea Dagger (when Camryn & Dylan are at the Blackhawks game)
R.E.M.-Everybody Hurts
U2-Love Rescue Me, If God Will Send His Angels, With or Without You, All I Want is You, When Love Comes to Town (when Camryn lands in Ireland), Desire, Sweetest Thing...basically the entire U2 catalog!
Not to mention awesome bagpipe music along with some Gaelic Storm songs thrown in.
I'm still at work on Wicked Games and hope to have it completed by August. I'll keep,ya posted!
Til next time, aye?
Snow!
Soooo...Chicago is getting slammed with snow now. I'm not gonna complain. I'm comfy in my pajamas and playing on my I-Pad (when I should be writing). Hey, life is great! The Chicago Blackhawks are having an awesome season, I self-published my second book, Merchants with Evil Intent, which is selling very nicely and I'm chillaxin' with my husband Roy!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
How do people find the time to blog and write a manuscript? I peruse blogs and Twitter and it amazes me that people have the time to do these things. As you can tell by my blog I'm a little busy writing stories with little time for much else. My bad!
I recently released my second book, Merchants with Evil Intent and I have to say, I'm pretty proud of it. The main characters, Camryn and Declan were so much fun to be with! I've pondered bringing them back into my next book, but I think I'll let them rest and maybe come back to them at a later time.
I've been asked about the song list I used to write "Merchants" and let's just say that I listened to a lot of U2 and Van Morrison. Near the end of the story, at a pivotal point, I played "Everyone Hurts" by REM. Hell, I even cried as I wrote that particular piece. Silly? Yeah, maybe, but it was some pretty deep shit going on during the scene. I wonder if readers felt the emotion that I did? I can only hope I conveyed it in writing as well as I played it out in my head.
I'm currently working on my third story...working title Wicked Game. It's another paranormal involving three wacky ghosts who interact with Emily, the owner of an antique shop.
The story is almost completed and I've already sketched out my next story which I'm itching to work on. It's a slight departure from what I've written so far as there are currently no paranormal aspects to it. It's a hockey romance! Why hockey? Why not?
Go Chicago Blackhawks! #1 in the league!
